About Cattura Photography
Cattura is Italian for capture, which is exactly what I strive to do with my photography. I believe a photograph not only captures a moment, but it can capture your heart. There is nothing like a photograph to put a smile on your face when you are in the middle of whatever life has you doing. Maybe you have a large canvas of your family you get to see every time you enter the room or maybe it's just an image on your desk that you get to see when you stop working at the computer. Photographs can bring back the feelings we had on a good day even when we're in the middle of a bad one.
I fell in love with photography at age 8 and took as many photography classes as I could in high school and college. Although I got my degree in environmental studies, I never lost my passion for photography. I started Cattura Photography in 2007 after having my second child and have loved every minute of it. I am constantly striving to be the best that I can and have attended hours and hours of seminars, webinars, and training events.
I have an in-home studio in southwest Fort Collins for those interested in indoor portraits. I also love working outside when possible and live right next to the beautiful Spring Canyon Park, which has abundant photography options. If you have a favorite spot you would like to use, I love exploring new places as well!
